What You’ll Do
As a Senior Probate Paralegal, you will:
- Lead & Mentor: Supervise and mentor a team of probate paralegals, fostering professional growth and ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Oversee Workflow: Manage case progress, delegate tasks, and meet critical deadlines with efficiency and accuracy.
- Draft & Review: Prepare and review essential legal documents, including petitions, notices, and accountings.
- Research & Advise: Conduct in-depth research on probate laws and regulations to address client inquiries and ensure compliance.
- Train & Educate: Facilitate training sessions on probate procedures and legal updates to keep the team informed.
- Collaborate & Prepare: Work closely with attorneys to prepare for court hearings and ensure timely filings.
- Maintain Records: Organize and maintain accurate and confidential case files in both digital and physical formats.
What You’ll Bring
To excel in this role, you’ll need:
- Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies or a related field; certification from a recognized paralegal association.
- Experience: At least 5 years as a probate paralegal, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
- Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of probate law and procedures.
- Skills: Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities, proficiency in legal research tools, case management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
